GI ran an article recently in their latest issue outlining the top 50 games of 2007 (in no particular order) as well as a couple other "top lists" so lets discuss

my personal favorites this year were Skate, Call of Duty 4, The Orange Box, and Forza Motorsports 2.

Thats a pretty solid list. I also really like skate, and Cod4. Will hopefully be getting the orange box for my bday (never played halflife2)

I also really want rockband

ive only played skate, halo3, and forza2.

Heavenly sword is in there? Well Unreal Tournament looks spectacular, reminds me of Gears Of war. Looking forward to playing it on the 360. I want skate real bad, put I got it over Halo 3. Pretty good list

. Rainbow Six was horrible, I'm sorry. I simply hated it. Way too realistic for me.

They got it right. Although GOTY in my opinion would have been between either Call of Duty 4 (the game is so damn fun with some of the most fun multiplayer) or Orange Box (I wouldn't even have to justify this game, amount of content alone). Thank God they didn't give it the Halo 3.

i dont get whats so good about this Orange Box. i played the demo of it and thought Half life was pretty crappy, maybe i just didnt see something. the other games are like cartoons? i dont get whats so great about it. i mean it was nominated in so many categories and won like none.

It was everything about it the story, the gameplay, graphics, innovation. I personally loved it for the story. It was groundbreaking at least when it first came out. But its still a great game combined with the fact you get Episodes 1 and 2 as well as Portal (one of the funniest games) and a great multiplayer package in Team Fortress 2 which is the only cartoony looking game in Orange Box. Read some reviews of the game I'm pretty sure they would talk about it more in depth.

HL2 is a story. its told through the eyes of a scientist who experences it first had. theres nothing NOT to like about the series. the games are fantastic

btw, the list isnt in a order. theres no numbers in the magazine

uhm...might i say...where the F&*(#$ is Jericho?

that game is definatly a top 5 Xbox 360 game, whether you believe in God or not, the story line is amazing, the graphics are amazing, and it has a game play structure i have yet to see before...

BOO on halo 3 being in this list over Jericho.

EDIT: might i add, super mario galaxy is better than paper mario for the wii, not a heck of a lot better, but definatly better none the less.

Too sad very few PSP games in the list.

By the ways isnt Jericho a horror game. I love horror games but to sad I got no Xbox 360 and a very low config PC. Always counting on the PSP and Silent hill.......

Jericho could be classified as horror i suppose, its also extremely Biblical.
Kind of a stretch to call it a horror tho, because it is a horror, but not by what horror has come to mean, if that makes any sense. It deals with the first born AKA the devil and such. I found it very interesting as a Catholic myself.

i rented UT3 and im not really amazed by it but it is cool that u can use a USB keyboard and mouse on the ps3 (not sure about 360 cuz i dont have one) to play. but all thats different is better graphics.
