I am having a bit of trouble with this, i have my wireless router downstairs, my wireless pc is upstairs, and i want to connect it to another pc in my room using a switch, (so i dont have to buy another wireless adapter )

my local pc (with wireless) settings are

IP address 192.168.0.2
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Default gateway 192.168.2.1

The other machine is;

IP address 192.168.0.1
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Default gateway 192.168.2.1

I have left the DNS clear on both, anyone got any ideas where im going wrong?

What do you mean by a switch, I have never seen this done before, I usually just use conect to the internet by a Wireless dongle.
