I like that sony didnt include a headset. Most people have a bluetooth headset already, so it makes no sense to add to the cost of the unit. At least ps3 users arent stuck using MS's proprietary headsets, hdd's. and memory cards.

But if you buy a bluetooth headset, you are spending money anyways. So it should have just been included. Like the headset that came with Warhawk.

Also, you can use external hard drives etc,

I spose its about preference... When games come out that start utilizing this amazing "Blu-Ray" i may get myself another one. But right now, im not convinced.

yeah, we just got a thing at the movie gallery i work at telling us all about microsoft getting blu ray. it won't change much though, the blue ray add-on won't fix the red lights of death.

whats the big deal with blu-ray? i can seriously care less if the characters in a next gen console look exactly like humans. i, for one, do not need to notice the sweat on shaq's face, the wrinkles in tiger woods' eyes when he hits a golf ball, and the veins in a soccer player's legs when he goes for the goal. a game is a game. sure, i have more fun playing call of duty than megaman on psx but i dont care if you can notice every single aspect of a character. waist of money to me

Although i know where you are coming from - Gameplay over graphics etc..

I still like games to look fantastic, and they do, on regular dvd9`s on the Xbox, the whole Blu-Ray phenomenon just doesnt make sense to me.

Sure they have all that space on one disc.... but the truth is, its not needed yet.

Do you mean, can you get a blu ray disc and drive and put data on there?

benjammin316...do you own a cell phone? if you do, most likely you will own a bluetooth...don't you know that ps3 is bluetooth compatible? meaning that almost any bluetooth device works (headset, keyboards, mouse, etc.) also about the BD...would you rather have a limited amount of space, or a crappy 9gb? i mean come on, give sony some credit, and blu-ray disc are capable of getting the graphics there, the reason we dont have KILLER graphics is because devs dont know the FULL potential of the ps3 yet, the closest we got was to Uncharted...like i said before, i dont mind the ps3 not being hack, i think its perfect as is...no other console comes close...i mean yeah maybe xbox live, but when you catch thr RROD in the middle of a halo match, would you be mad? and wii...........yeah the wii............thats all i have to say, the ps3 is where it is it...

I own a mobile phone yeah, i dont own a bluetooth headset though. I refuse to be seen in public wearing one of them on my ears, maybe its different in America.

Devs dont know the full potential... i have been hearing that excuse since the PS3 was launched.

And thats the reason i sold it.

If the devs cant develop games on the great "blu-ray" discs that are at least on par with regular xbox 360 games, then to me it seems like a waste of time. For now.

well...it aint easy for something to come to the scene, the 360 is just a update from the regular xbox, its not from ground up like the ps3, note the release date, and the reason it was a year late....also, its on par with the games, i mean do you speak graphic wise or gameplay wise? if graphic: the ps3's cell is the most advanced piece of technology, it might not be powerful like a supercomputer but its close to it...for gameplay the cell still comes into the play here, it has the ability to do 6 complex calculations at the same time (1 is for GFX and the other is for the ps3 power usuage)...now i see you said the orange box had slow loading times...what is slow to you, because i have many games for the ps3, and there is no slow loading time (maybe madden at 10secs)...if you sold you ps3 because you think games arent that great, then you didnt think about the year 2008...

2008...

I bought my ps3 beginning of 2007, if i had known i would have to wait over a year for good games, i would have waited to buy one.

360 games that are ported to the ps3 are usually better on the 360, thats just how it is at the moment.

But i want that to change, and the lazy devs to sort it out. I agree with you, that the PS3 is a great machine.... but all the delays (Home,Haze,LBP) to name a few just put it at the back of my mind.

Hopefully, by the end of 2008 Sony will convince me to buy a PS3 again.

Here in the UK the 360 arcade model, has just come down to £160, which is less that the Nintendo Wii. Sales have increased so i hear.

But on the Blu-Ray thing, i think MS are bringing out an add on player, so it would be in everyones interest for the Blue Ray issue to be sorted out

blu-ray isnt just for movies, also ps3 is the only BR player to obtain BR live, meaning that you can go online to get infomation on the movie you are watching, while watching it..which is pretty neat...one thing i want to know, do the DS have a remote play to wii, like the psp to the ps3? which is another reason i bought the ps3...which brings me to my next point, with the xbox you have to buy almost everything (if you dont get the elite) but the ps3 has it all in the box, just not the headset
