Also, isn't weird that IGN, a well reputed site, be given exclusive rights to review it this early before its release? If Rockstar truly wanted the gaming community to see how good a game it is, the would have let Gamespot, Gametrailers, 1up, and other well established gaming sites to release their thoughts.
By all means, I'm not saying GTA:IV is a bad a game. I'm just saying that this wasn't a review, but a paid advertisement for the game. Watch this, there's going to be a big shiny stamp on every single package of the game boasting about it's, so called, "perfect score". | are you an idiot..actually IGN is late in reviewing this game, many other sites gave this game reviews...even the 360/PS3 magazine..so there you have it |

The frame rate looks very choppy, I'm sure that will get fixed when it's ported to the pc, a machine that can actually handle that game :P. Also, only 16 players online? That's terribly low. Ever play dust2 with 50 something players? and dust2 is doesn't even compare to the size of liberty city.

GTA IV Review
Sorry to say but in the videos I've seen the framerate doesn't look choppy at all. I've heard that it keeps a steady framerate no matter what's happening on screen (for the most part).
And thorngravy: It's been all over the internet but the pc version of gtaIV got leaked like a week ago... |

I'm not sorry to say your eyes most likely cannot gauge framerate fluctuation, because that game is easily running at 30 fps. When you see the car explosions as well as coming out of zoom you can see shuttering from loss and gain of easily 10 fps.
I think stationary consoles are pointless, I could easily play any game on the current systems with probably twice the framerate, but unfortunetly ignorant lazy people think it's too much of hassle that upon inserting the disc you must click install.
Unfortunetly I could careless if the game got leaked, and we can tell you "care" or you wouldn't seem to know much about the game or mind me pointing out the game's flaws

I don't care and I'm not going to play it but I can tell you that it doesn't go to 10fps. Obviously by that statement I can say YOUR eyes can't see the framerate fluctuation.
And just so you know, there is a huge difference between me caring and me being informed about certain subjects. An example of this is that I could give a shit about Harold and Kumar but I do know that it came out last Friday. Think before you type...and get your eyes checked (10fps ) |

You might know when harold and kumar came out, but the chances of you sharing your knowledge of that with people when you don't care doesn't make much sense.
Anyway, I wanted to apologize for my pompous asshole nature. I definitely came off way more dick-headish than i meant to

well, you do realize, not everyone has an high-end pc...so it may not look ALL that good on most pcs...but to have it on consoles is better, since all hardware is the same...also consoles games were long before pc games...so you may want to think that msot people grew up on consoles.. |

Guarenteed if someone gave me $400 for a ps3, i build a comp that has way better specs for around the same amount. And if you can't get use to the keyboard/mouse than you can buy a gamepad to your liking.

The PS3 is a Computer System and supports any KB/Mouse - Not all games do granted and that sux but I bet Sony wilol make it part of some future FW release and we can all cheer.
Not to contradict you, I am a PC gamer first, and I buy the console for my kids, the PS3 is very sweet - I play Unreal Tourn. III on a 61" hi res screen on a KB/Mouse - Best game I own for performance and graphics. My most powerful PC is 5 years old (2 AMD Athalon MP 2.0 GHz processors w/3.5GBs ram and 256MB AGP Card) - I think I have another year on it before I think about a new PC. But that's just me *shrug* |
