Talking GTA IV Review

I don't know if this already came up in another thread but IGN has posted their review of GTA IV. It got a 10. The first one from them in almost 9 years apparently. I don't really care but if any of you want to read it click here.

Is this better than GTA Vice City Stories?

Default GTA IV Review

Come on. This is obviously just a paid good review. I mean, the video review talk only about its pros and didn't even mention any faults. That in itself, makes it unbelievable.

Also, isn't weird that IGN, a well reputed site, be given exclusive rights to review it this early before its release? If Rockstar truly wanted the gaming community to see how good a game it is, the would have let Gamespot, Gametrailers, 1up, and other well established gaming sites to release their thoughts.

By all means, I'm not saying GTA:IV is a bad a game. I'm just saying that this wasn't a review, but a paid advertisement for the game. Watch this, there's going to be a big shiny stamp on every single package of the game boasting about it's, so called, "perfect score".

I don't care what they say in this review - the video with commentary explaining the capabilities of the game - WHOA! Damn this PS3 - between GTA4 and MGS4 I'm in big trouble financially.

Not true man, the series have had their glitches but I dont think i've ever played a game with that much to do, that much freedom and that much blood (coming out of a guy when you ram a chainsaw into his stomach!).

I mean I know San Andreas had glitches, but can't you see past that to the awesome game underneath?

And on the PS3, if there are glitches, it will only be a matter of time for the patch to be down loadable and installed right through the PS3 system. MotorStorm, Unreal Torn. III and WarHawk (the game I have) all had patches and ADD-ONS! Look at Assasin's Creed on the PS3, it had major issues, all resolved now. Which is why I simply didn't buy it yet. I'll get it used when its like 40 bux of something.

im impressed with the review, but it would be interesting to see what other guys say about the game.
I dont think IGN would give a 10 to a game very easily, even if they did get paid alot for it. If that rumor starts flying around IGN is going to lose all of their credibility and then nobody will want to read anything they say.

Most big popular games have glitches, i.e. Halo, Final Fantasy, Counter-Strike, etc. It's extremely difficult to find each and every bug in the game, especially when certain glitches are only triggered by very special and random events that no amount of testers can really anticipate.

I'm all over this when I finish the Bar Exam. Open-ended worlds in gaming, IMHO, are the creme-de-la-creme. The ability to do anything, without limits, is the biggest reason I switched from Guild Wars to Warcraft.

With technology the way it is now, and is progressing, the time of linear game play is dying.

GTAIV looks like a blast!!!

Yeah, them and the other 20,000 people that downloaded the leaked game like 5 days ago..

No it's not weird. Companies do this all the time, people of power and or wealth get something before the public.
