Halo 3 vs. Call of Duty 4

In your opinion what is the better game? I think that Halo 3 is very futuristic
and not as much fun as Call of Duty. Call of Duty has more action and it is more of a fast paced game.

I've played both, and beaten both. I personally think that Call of Duty 4 was far better than Halo 3. The online for CoD4 was a lot of fun and really addicting. Halo 3 was boring within about a week.

Call of duty 4. Halo 3 has been too over rated, and ive goten sick of all the hype and people in school like "Z0mg! i have halo 3, im cool"

CoD is definitely more complex and in-depth during multi-player, but I am too used to running around shooting wildly, which does not work in COD, hehe. I still like playing Halo 3 on-line and coop with the wifey.

well considering i have CoD4 on the ps3 (dont have a 360) thats my choice..lol, i played Halo 3..but it was just like Halo 1(got it on pc) which is something i dont like..now you should compare GTA4 vs. CoD4

I have both and I find Halo 3 live play just the most fucking annoying thing I have heard in my life. People take the game way too seriously.

Call of duty is more laid back, yes, people spam through the mic but that can always be adverted

@Hercules: I think CoD4 is better than GTA4. I have both. CoD4 for 360 and GTA4 for PS3. I can't complain much about GTA4 except the fact that it brings way too many memories back from LCS. The scenery's been redone and everything but everything still seems so the same. Plus... beating VCS and LCS in the last month probably affects my judgement too. I don't even want to see another Rockstar sandbox game in quite a while.

I played COD4 and I own Halo 3, I would have to say.... COD4 blows Halo 3 right out of the water. I haven't played online with COD but, Halo 3 is a little boring now, after about 2 weeks it was boring. COD4 definitely better.

Both are good, but I like how COD4 is much more realistic and the modern warfare gives it another thumbs up.

Both give me a headache though, all the spinning and stuff really gives me a migrane.

I beat halo 3 in one day. I beat COD4 in about 2 weeks. Halo takes no skill, you just run around firing your gun and you win. Thats partially why its so popular, it takes no skill. COD4 is amazing though.

and at COD you hide in a corner waiting for a body to come by and press RT once. a monkey could play and be good at it. COD4 lets see theres maybe 15gamemodes and 11maps then what? just do the same thing over and over. now halo3 umm infinte amounts of variant game mods and maps. fun forever. halo takes a whole lot more skill that COD4. people that generally suck at FPS are good at COD4. no skill or tactic needed in this game.

I borrowed COD4 from a friend a few weeks ago and I've been playing on-line as much as possible, hehe. The first week was INSANELY frustrating for me, but the second week is doing a bit better... took me a little under two weeks to get to rank 24. I still get pissed off when i spawn right in front of a live grenade or right in the middle of a firefight, but I am learning to cope. if anyone wants to add me my XBL gamertag is the same as my PSPMod name...

Personally, it depends on how I'm feeling. If I want tactical fighting, knowing every open area is an invitation to death, and putting my enemies down with realistic weapons, I'll go COD4. If I want futuristic weapons, not dying if 3 bullets hit me in the chest, and going Rambo from time to time, I'll go Halo 3.
The thing I hate it trying to say which game is better when they are so different. It's one thing to compare COD4 to other military FPSs, or Halo to something similar, like Unreal Tournament, but in my opinion, it's a pointless exercise in futility to say that one game is better than another when what the games are trying to achieve are radically different. I mean, first there was Halo 3 vs. Gears of War, now Halo 3 vs. COD4, and apparently now we've got COD4 vs. GTA4, so what's next, "Which is better, Mario Kart Wii, Forza 2, or Gran Turismo 4"? It just feels like these kinds of questions are really reaching out far to compare popular games nowadays, and everyone is taking a side just because. I'm taking the middle, and going with both Halo and COD, because they both do a damn good job of the game types they represent.

Sorry for the rant, I just need to get this out.

They're both horrible games tbh.

But if I had to chose one, I'd pick Halo 3 as it's just too easy of a game.
