Need some advices before gettin the ps3

Anybody in here know a lot about the ps3? I plan on getting one but i don't know which version to get. I want to play ps2 games on the ps3 also. But there are like 3 version, 40gb, 60gb and 80gb. Please someone help me i really appreciate it

the 80 gig will play ps2 and ps1 games. but wait for the new one coming out june 12 only 499 and comes with mgs4 and a rumble controler =]

The 80 is the current model that plays ps2 games. 90% of ps2 games work on it. If you must have 100% backward compatibility, you should look for a 60, but those are very hard to find.
Wait for 2 weeks and grab the MGS4 bundle though. Its the best deal you will find.
