Got a Wii for my birthday :).

Well yesterday (June 30), I received a Wii for my birthday (I turned 14

). Anyways, I only have Wii sports currently (stopped playing cause my arms hurt like shit right now, I don't even know if they're supposed to hurt or not), and I'm wondering some games I should get, also what a good size for a SD card is to hold N64 games. I love how it has the wireless connection built into it too (unlike the 360). Also is homebrew easy to get onto the Wii? I've been talking to numb3rs about the topic but want to hear some advice from the people who actually modded their Wii.

If you grow up pretty fast and dont mod it, You'll end up selling it for a cheap price like me....

WiiKey Review : Xeno Wii [Mod-Chip] can mod it, it seems to be the most popular. But there are others like WiiD and Wiinja.

Yeah I've heard of people modding the Wii's
then i also heard there was a new update that ended the modding...

then a new mod came out for the Wii, lol it will never end... the PS3 is so close... thats what I'm waiting for...

I've heard Super Smash was a blast and the new Mario Kart is fun as hell!

Ugh one of my weaknesses... soldering. I kept burning the side of my finger in Tech Ed in school, I have my own soldering thing but too scared to use it.

I can't find Mario Kart Wii ANYWHERE, it's devastating

Ok listen.

Modding it is easy, if you don't want to play backups (require a modchip). I modded it using the twilight hack (Legend of Zelda: Twilight princeess or w/e). I have a bunch of emulators, the opera browser and like 4/5 vc games. I have a 512MB SD Card, however, the VC games do not store on the stick (legitimately bought that is, if you use backups, you can store them on the card, then just install/uninstall one to make room).

For games, get Mario Party 8, Mario Kart, and Wii play (has a few cool games but comes with a wiimote for $50), redsteel is not worth it, and I'm not into Mario games that much, but Galaxy is fun, so is SMBM.

Thanks cb, I'll get my hands on Mario kart Wii when they're back in stock(hopefully). I think my friend has a copy of the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, but I'll have to ask. It has to be an unpatched version correct? I'll think about getting galaxy, but I really do suck at those mario games. Super mario 64, sunshine, I sucked hardcore, I dunno why. Brawl I know I'll get.... when the price drops

No it doesn't have to be unpatched, because I don't believe they patched the game.

They, however, have patched the system software, but there is a new exploit up and running

Woohoo picked up a used copy of The legend of Zelda: twilight princess today at gamestop, now I gotta get a sandisk card and a gamecube memory card..... but I'll find them easily

Have fun! Mario Kart is probably my favorite wii game. SSBB and Twilight are up there too though.
