PS3 help plese?

Hi i bought a ps3 on Monday just so i could get Mgs4 and i have to say that i am all around amazed by the game (i just beat it) but i realy want to play online but it dosent seem to work. I have a wireless router that came with fios from verizon, i get signal form 60-85%; i can connect to the internet to browse the web but im having problems with the playstation network account: i get the error message "The connection with Playstation network timed out" i have already tried making lots of different accounts but the same error mesage always comes up :hmm: i have already checked sonys playstation site and other support for help but that didnt work. Has this happened to any one else? Some one Help?!?!?!?

well you say you can use the browser? i would suggest buying a new router, or getting another modem...i think its because your signal is too weak, the ps3 needs to use a little bandwidth to operate psn...but i am not sure
