Default PS One RULES!

My kids took my modded PS one out to the fire pit 2 months ago. They thought it was paper garbage since it was in a paper bag. Good thing I didn't do any burning in the past 2 moths. But man have we had some nasty rain storms.

Anyway, we retrieved it, seemed dried out. Hooked it up and it works perfectly! One of the controllers is saturated in water though (sitting in a puddle).

Anyway, I extracted an ISO from an eboot using popstation GUI and burned it to CD, didn't work. Any suggestions on getting extracted cd images to work on a modded psone? My old burns do work so I know the issue is not with the PS1. Come on you old timers, I know you knew the answer at one time.... I did too, but it's long forgotten.

Assuming your ps1 is modded by being able to use the "swap" trick you need to backup a ps1 game on your pc (if you are doing it legally), then burn the files to a CD-R (it must be a CD-R not CD-RW).Then use the swap trick which takes a little practice at first byt watch the movement of the lens before inserting the CD-R for the first time. Nope, I put a chip in it so I dont have to swap. But nothing I tried worked as far as restoring my eboot back to CD.

The PS1 was a beast. I remember doing horrible modding things to it to test out some new mods and it still worked.

Default PS One RULES!

Stripping an ISO from a home made psx eboot - here's how! [Archive] - MaxConsole Forums
Well guys, I decided to download a few games today just to test my theory out - plus I didn't like some of the games as they still had hotshots icons in - anyway here's info on how to strip the original iso out of the eboot.

Download winhex and open your eboot file.

The iso starts at offset - 00150000 - so strip all info out of the file before that.

Ok we don't know how big the iso is - but we do know this....

Look at the bottom of your file and then get a hex calculator (windows one in scientific mode will do) - then what you do is look at the address of the bottom row of your file and minus this hex from it - 8a20

Once you strip that you are left with the original iso file - so save whats left of your file as whatever.iso

Open your new iso with isobuster or some other iso software to confirm it's working and you should see all the psx files inside...that's all folks....
