Wii Broken :(

Okay so I have a Wii... And a Television... But It wont load... It turns on but nothing appears on screen and it doesnt have sound... And once it is on it won't turn off! Anyone know whats wrong?

What kind of T.V.? Have other systems worked on it? And what won't turn off after its turned on?

Solution- If other systems have worked on your television and still do, its likely that your wii has faulty cables. Also if its your Wii that won't turn off its likely you have it in standby mode. I don't own a Wii so I'm just going off of what I know.

Check where you plugged the AV cords in. First time I plugged in my PS2 cords, I got them in the wrong place.

I have checked all the cables...

And other systems work on it its just the Wii that doesnt... It worked in the past but after playing Brawl it just stopped...

Once it powers on does the power light stay solid green?
So the power light doesn't change to yellow or red?
Does the blue light inside the drive flash on?
Can you hear the drive trying to access the disk?

Can you plug power cord into a different outlet?
Is there another A/V line to plug the Wii into?
Try unplugging power cord,holding wii power button for 30 seconds, then plug power cord back in.

Past those few things there's not much else you can do.

Yeah, It just stays Green
The Blue Light does go on!
I can hear it trying to accept discs but no fans or anything actually activate

I tryied plugging it isnt a different outlet, I even tried buying new cords
It turns off when I hold it for 30 seconds but then when I put the cords back in and try to turn it on the same thing happens

I don't really want to send it to Nintendo because I got a launch wii so it has a D2A Chipset and plus I don't have 100$ to give them!

That sounds very similar to what's going on with my Wii, it will accept discs, but they never load, it just sits with the disc in the drive...sounds like soon mine will go the way of yours. What's up with the whole chipset thing? I haven't read anything about that, do we have another 360 situation on our hands?

this isnt really related to the OP's issue, but a fairly common issue with the Wii is graphics card overheating due to WiiConnect 24, causing a "snowy" effect on the screen, more prevalent in higher demand games, and less so whiel playing old 8 bit games, etc.

mine started doing that last september. i have a warranty service call in to nintendo, jsut ahvnet sent itin yet, lol.

I dont have a wii but i work at best buy in the gaming dept (Media) and our nintendo rep told us there was a issue with older wii's and newer games. and that people can send in their wii's to a certen address and have them upgraded and nintendo foots the bill. all u pay is 1 way shipping.

and to top it off, they give u a 2000 woo points car when they ship it back as a kinda "thank you for your time" and crap.

Nope it wasnt... And the worst part is... I bought a D2A Wiikey a few days before it broke...

try buying a fan that connects to the back of the wii.
