well that... that just plain sucks. but I guess what you're saying makes sense... so MS has an extended waranity because they knew they were already releasing a potential lemmon.

MS knew about the problem and chose not to pay. even if this guy wins his court case, MS still ends up saving money, more money than it would have cost to fix the problem. which is why they probably didn't fix it ... or all their other problems. because if they did get sued it still wouldn't have equaled the money it cost to fix the problem
