[Caffine]

I was in the middle of playing a game when all of a sudden, it just frooze. I reset the system and then it would not read the discs.

My PS3 is out of warrenty so I decide to take it apart. I tore it down and took out the blu ray drive.

Took off the metal case and took the upper deck off and all. Didnt see any problems.

So I put it in with the metal case off and turned on the system and put a game in. I watched to see what happend in there and the disc goes in but doesnt even spin.

The loading icon stays in the upper right hand corner of the screen and just hangs.

So Im guessing my motor for my disc or my lens is junk.

62.00 for the motor and lens assembly or 150 to sony for them to fix it with the chance of not getting MY ps3 back but some other one that doesnt have the 4 usb ports and all the plug ins.

What would you guys do, and what do you think the prob is?
