PS3 or Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii - Page 8

All I can say is I've bought and sold a wii three times now, every time it just sat around doing nothing, sometimes I'd play some old vc games on it, but those were games I played 20 years ago...

On the other hand, I bought my 360 and to this day still play it pretty much daily... Never had a ps3 but I'm sure I'd enjoy it.

Dreamcast is a sixth gen console, competing with the PS2 for like a year before it died. And N64 and PS1 are 5th gen.

Anyway, I'd get a PS3, but it has to be the 80gig fat. Backwards compatible with PS and PS2, third party OS, 4 USB ports. It has all of the things the PS3 has ever offered all in one. 360 is nice too, but I don't really care about what it has. And Wii is fun, but not if you are a "gamer"

You mean 60GB. Doesn't matter though because you can just upgrade the HDD. I think it's pretty lame though that Sony doesn't use normal 3.5'' drives. They always have to be "different". M2 Micro instead of MicroSD. Pro Duo instead of SD. 2.5'' instead of 3.5''. Thank God it supports external drives at least.

I have the xbox 360 because it's modded and i am sure you know why.
Ps3 is a great system, much more superior then the xbox 360 because of hardrive space and many other things..

Ps3's have the ability to upgrade hardrive to as many gigs the new hardrive you purchase. 500Gig ps3 sounds great to me! There is also the option to ghost all the data on the drive, xbox 360 u need to purcahse a $6 to $50 cord to ghost or a Few hundred dollers for new hardrive.

PS3 has a blueray player and dvd player, xbox has a dvd capabilitys

Ps3 controllers have internal battery's so it save you money and not purchasing battery's or purchasing a charge cable and battery pack system, chrger station. I prefer the xbox 360 controller over the ps3 controller tho.

Ps3 u can put flash cards in to veiw photos and listen to music and videos xbox 360 u can also do the same but you need to network it with your pc.

Ps3 has blutooth! support for keyboard and mouse and to install Linux OS ( ps3 slims don't have install other os option )

Ps3 has fee online and playstation home. xbox has live witch you need to poor more cash out of your pockets to play online but live is a much better service!

Ps3 has biult in wifi cards to get online. the 360 you need to purchase a $50 $70 wifi usb adapter.

I don't mean to bash the xbox 360 so don't feel insulated from this. I am just saying how the ps3 has it's advantages and disadvantages over and under the xbox 360. Most people who are reading this probably already know this information but i am typing it anyway.

If you don't own both consoles and had to pick one? Your best question you should ask yourself is. Do you plan to play alot of online games?, if so go with an xbox 360 because online play is the best! Online but hardly play online or no internet at all go with a ps3 because it will last much longer and it's more bang for your buck, also a cheap solution for a bluray player.

I suggest to get both systems if you can afford them and if you can only get one i suggest the Ps3 for having an overall better package to do more thing.

The ps3 can do it all!

I'm not a 360 fanboy, and I surely do not want to argue with a PS3 fanboy, but those are some of the exclusives for the 360.

well u can scratch out Gears of war, left 4 dead and mass effect because they are on pc.

You can add dead rising 1, Banjo kazooie nuts&bolts, gears of war 2,perfect dark, 1 vs 100 and the arcade games.

As for Perfect Dark Zero i really think rare is a dead company, they raped and murdered the banjo kazooie franchise!

Speaking about Left 4 dead. The company Valve Cant program worth sh*t.. look at steam it's a steaming pile of poo. I think they can't program on the ps3 because it is too much work to program on a ps3. another thing what's great is valve purchased the company that was developing left 4 dead and took the game and fired all there workers. F ** K Valve they don't deserve to be on the ps3.

Valve is not a horrible company. They've always made PC games. Even Half-Life on the PS2 was published by someone else, I'm pretty sure. Steam is actually a really great program at letting you connect with your friends and earning achievements and even being an online store. If you read some tutorials online, you can just make a shortcut to any Steam game's executable, bypassing Steam altogether, if you don't like it. Steam simplifies multiplayer and keeps games up to date. In case you haven't noticed, programming for the PS3 isn't exactly easy. Only a fool would go buy a Steam game on the PS3. Left 4 Dead should be played on the PC, as it was meant to be played, in all its original-coded glory. I don't see how any of this has to do with why "Valve can't program". Plus it is a choice the company makes on what they want their game played on. Sometimes you just cannot get the feel of a game on PC, but you can on a console, or vice versa.

Valve is one of the best companies there is if you happen to be a PC gamer, sadly I gave up on pc games in like 1991... I've played tf2 for over 400 hours now on 360 with the same damn maps and extras while the PC version has gotten so many new maps, extrtas, and upgrades I can't even remember... It's unfair to their fans who LOVE their games but hate using a keyboard and mouse to play games!!

id say go for the ps3, i got all 3 the wii dnt even come into this. the xbox is ok but ull have to be paying for the xbox live although there aree alot of games on the xbox that aint on the ps3 or wii so it depends on what games u like basicaly.

id go for the ps3-> it has alot of power, wont break like xbox's are known to do, free online play and heck grand turismo, plus built in wifi, bluetooth, discs work for like everrr. on the xbox if a cd's in and u rock it even a lil bit u get a nice huge ring around the disk -scratched- and then it wont wrk unless u get it fixed soo personaly id say go for the ps3
