I found a small problem today with my SNES my games wouldn't work, I tried using the old school method by taking the cartridge out and blowing lightly in the contacts, and put it back in and it didn't work. So I using a "damp" cotton swab and wiping the contacts and that worked, I found after i pulled out the cotton swab and used the other side that there was a lot of dirt and dust on it that it made the damp part of the cotton swab turn jet black. I also found that this helps Pro Duo's if they have problems reading in a psp, like save files, and your backups on it, and it works with R4 cards, and anything else that has contacts on it like a memory card ie. For those who don't know the contacts it the gold microchip like part on the back of the SD card, or under your SNES cartrige where you insert your game and in your DS/DSL/DSi SLOT 1. You can put it in the Slot 1 or 2 part of your DS/DSL and Slot 1 part of your DSi and it should fix any freezing, reading, or saving problems with your Games, or copy and pasting with.

So in steps.

Step 1 - Get some dry cotton swabs
Step 2- Lightly wet a cotton swab (damp) preferably with cold water
Step 3 - Gently wipe the contacts on the device that your using
Step 4- Dry off gently with a dry cotton swab
Step 5- Insert your object you cleaned in where its supposed to go.

Enjoy.

Much better to use rubbing alcohol (or even vodka) than water when doing this. It is a much better solvent for miscellaneous grime, and evaporates much faster - Faster it evaporates, less likely it is to stick around and cause a short on the odd chance that it got into the game cartridge.
