Following the announcement of an official price and release date for the highly anticipated PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) console, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has revealed the contents of the retail packages that will be available at launch. Set to arrive in two models, the two retail packages of the PS Vita console are remarkably similar.
The two versions of the system, the PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Model Crystal Black and PS Vita Wi-Fi Model Crystal Black, will both include a USB cable, AC adaptor, power cord and associated printed materials. No software is included in the bundle, other than that already installed upon the system. The PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Model Crystal Black has the product code PCH-1103, while the PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Model Crystal Black is labelled PCH-1003.
“PlayStation Vita is an incredible device that offers the best possible portable gaming experiences, especially when combined with social connectivity to offer unique and exhilarating experiences, unparalleled in the portable entertainment market,” said Jim Ryan, President and CEO, SCEE. “We’re very excited to launch a portable gaming device that goes beyond anything available on the market and delivers the uncompromised gaming experiences consumers have been asking for.”
The PS Vita console range is set to launch throughout PAL territories on 22nd February 2012, with a recommended retail price (RRP) of €249.99 for the PS Vita Wi-Fi Model Crystal Black and €299.99 for the PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Model Crystal Black.
