The PS Vita, Sony’s latest handheld console, has now been released into the wild. Gamers flocked in their thousands to pick up this very impressive piece of kit, which went on sale yesterday.
Industry analysts Strategy Analytics have predicted that the PS Vita will sell more than 12 million units this year, giving Sony a much-needed boost to profits.
Sales of 12 million will only realistically happen if Sony cuts the Vita’s price, which it is likely to do in the next few months.
Gamers have been snapping up the console as fast as they can, and making the most of the impressive amount of games on offer with the launch.
But there is also a huge range of accessories available, which make the PS Vita even cooler (if that was possible). So which accessories do you need to own?
PS Vita portable charger

We’ve all been there. You’re on the bus, finally reaching the final levels of a game that has taken up way too much of your time already, and the battery goes flat.
Despite the Vita’s impressive battery, you can guarantee this will happen at least once. But fear not! The PS Vita portable charger is on its way to UK stores. Not available just yet in the UK, it is only a matter of time before we’ll see this very handy device.
PS Vita memory card

A must-have for any hardcore gamer out there, the Sony memory cards come in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB sizes.
The 32GB isn’t cheap, but let’s you store an impressive 16 games, 24 films, 9,000 songs and 6,000 photos – all at the same time!
PS Vita silver metal grip shell

Just when you thought the PS Vita couldn’t get any cooler, along comes this awesome-looking silver cover. The metal casing is lightweight but very protective, and gives the Vita sleek metallic look.
