Playing Game backups on the PS Vita

Many people claim that it’s impossible to run game backups on the PS Vita, but if you came to this page, it’s because you know that it’s possible even if lots of people on other websites have told you that it’s not doable. They probably don’t know what they’re talking about, after all


Running backups is actually possible and free on the PS Vita, in a few simple steps.

There are 2 steps to run a game backup on the PS Vita. The first step is to acquire the game backup, and the second step is to install it and run it on the vita. This also works for PSP games on the PS Vita.

This is done in a few simple steps

1. - make sure your game backup is in your CMA APP folder (for psp games, the game should be in the PGAME folder)
2. - connect your vita to the Content Manager Assistant with your USB cable
3. - select: copy from PC to Vita, then select Applications (PS Vita) or applications (PSP)
4. - you can then simply select your game backup and copy it, the vita will install it for you

When you say " backups" are you talking about games you have downloaded from the PSN and are in your download list or are you talking about ISO backups??

it could probably mean both. but it's more probably like a likely psn game.

So your saying despite sonys best attempts to stop people pirating games all you have to do to play a COPY of a game you have downloaded from a warez site is you just simply "install" it....... ???????

I somehow think you have got your wires crossed on this subject and the original post was simply how to install games you have purchased lol

You're able to transfer minis and psp games from ps3 to vita only if it's bought from the same psn account you are linked to. I almost had a way to run game backups from vitas using other psn accounts on your own vita but whenever I replaced the other psn account in the license folder with my own, some other content got deleted and it showed an error after the download completed so it didn't install properly.
