So a quick look at the new Sony vita Slim (2000)

first notice on the slim itself Sony has got ride of the OLED screen for the classic LCD screen found in all portable Sony play station (PSP), smoother rounder feel on the vita slim edge as well as on the the action button, d-pad and yes even on the home button. Color range on the new vita slim will come in a verity including Pink, lime green, blue, classic black and winter white. The on/charge light is no longer in the vita home button but now on top and storage has shrunk down from 16 GB to just about 1 GB internal. But rumor say Sony will be releasing a 64 GB vita memory stick. Other then this changes not has changed for the vita.

They can be had on eBay right now, around $240-ish.

no information on how much it will cost at the moment, I know that they are only releasing it in japan and will eventually be released over sea's. Rumor has it will be released early summer 2014.

$40 more then a used PS vita from game stop. I wouldn't buy it for $200 for the limited internal space and the lower resolution of the LCD screen and yes if you compare the OLED screen to a PSP LCD screen it doesn't have the same pixel amount it seems less on the LCD. The color range is cool i would have wanted a blue or green first gen vita, but the look of the shell of the second gen vita in kotaku site looks very cheaply made, the imaged vita slim in white looks a bit better. If Sony plan's to sell this second gen slim for over $180 I wouldn't waste my money on the second gen I would spend the extra $20 and get a phat first gen. The slim to be 1/3 the thickness of the first gen which is cool.

You pay for what you get, the slim display will be very standard they do clam the pixel will be better then that of a psp but not as vivid as the OLED on the vita. Back light will be of course LED so it should be bright enough to play under some urban condition
