well let's see. In USA, the tv format is NTSC, while in Japan it's PAL. For this, tv consoles have region versions. Of course, you could be in the UK, who use PAL as well. Guess what, there's an EUR version too. So, in short, no it wont.

12-15-2010, 09:19 PM PS3 games are not region locked. You can play any PS3 game on any PS3.
Japan uses the NTSC standard so it will work just fine. PAL games will also work *IF* your TV has a PAL/NTSC autoselector.
