no, you shouldnt be charged. places like starbucks and mc donalds have wireless hotspots for ppl with laptops and stuff.

first off, there is no way to just plain old charge you, a window will pop up wanting some sort of,,, money or personal id, or theyd ask for cash, just usin sumone elses wireless wont get u arrested, and cus of BBB law, unless it is written on a sign, they cannot charge you, unless it just pops up b4 u do anything asking you wether or not youd like to pay.

If you're in Australia, the service provided at MacDonalds is through Telstra and you can access it buy buying a "phone away" pre paid card. Or you can enter your CC or opst paid account, not always a good idea though with Evil Twins about the place.
