Sometimes when I browse, I wish to view an mp4 video file, so I click it and save it to the '/video' folder as told and save the file called 04, as the default name the PSP chooses, '04.mpg'.
Okay, so I do all that, and then I go to the video section, and it simply shows corrupted data.
Now I believe that I have to convert the file, but I simply do not wish to go to my computer and view what I want originally wanted to view immediately, at a later time, as that defeats the purpose of an instant web browser.
    Any help?
Can I save a video file RIGHT THEN AND THERE and view it INSTANTLY, WITHOUT GOING TO A COMPUTER AND CONVERTING?!!?
    Help much appreciated.

you won't be able to do it w/o converting it on a computer unless, of course, it comes pre-formatted in PSP-friendly format. Sorry to say that ><

yeah, if you have homebrew, use psplayer

i dont know what your trying to download, but there are some sites that have premade for psp movies, if not, when i download mpg's, i use psplayer, not the greatest media player, but it gets the job done right then and there for instant veiwing... it doesent play wmv movies though :/

well, apparently justinisloco says otherwise. However, just remember mp4 isn't the exact same as mpg. Just because you change the extension doesn't mean you are able to play it. mp4 is only a type of mpeg.... although i do remmeber reading something about psp being able to play mp4's with custom 3.30 or 3.40, i may be mistaken though.

mp4 is most commonly used in portable products, phones and psp's, etc.

You can only use that with the PSP

BUT with the homebrew i stated, you can watch mpg on the program, but if you download it and rename it as 04.mp4 rather than its original 04.mpg, it wont work, ive tried
