09-07-2007, 12:42 PM aight, ive got 3.52m33-4 on my psp. i went to PSP-XMB and used the 3.52 m33 theme on the first page, called XMB-Redux.... after a completed install of it, when i try to start FF7 or Crash Bandicoot, it doesnt start up, it just sits there with the background and the wave running. if i try to start any other homebrew app, it will play the gameboot video, then just sit there with a black screen. any help with this????

09-07-2007, 01:46 PM ok, and what exactly should i search for?? i tried "playstation wont boot theme" and a few different variations of that. i didnt find anything when i searched for like 30 mins, so i figured i would post it. dont just instantly think that no one searches. if u just come out and say, its been done, just search. post a link, be useful.
EDIT: aight, after some more searching, i realized what it was. thnx to this thread i realized what the problem was, so i then went through and edited an rco from 3.52 that was decripted, and just copied all the files from my current opening_plugin.rco file. it sux about the sounds.

09-08-2007, 05:08 PM no, its not the problem with a umd in the drive or not... the problem is that theres some problem with the opening_plugin.rco files. all the ones ive downloaded from the internet always have that problem..... so all i do is take the modded opening_plugin.rco file that i downloaded, use RCOedit and use the extract all button.... then i load up my current opening_plugin.rco file and use the replace all button, and everything works fine. i do remember a while ago reading a thread on here about hex editing the rco file to make the playstation games work again, but i was never able to accomplish that.
