    Hello,
I tried to upgrade my sons psp to 3.52M33 everything worked great I had a guy online help me with it step by step. It worked good for a few weeks then my son let the battery on his psp go all the way down and then he charged it and turned it back on and all we get is a screen that looks like the whole thing is cracking. The screen itself is not cracking just when we turn it on it looks like it is. Do any of you know what this problem is or how to fix it? I thought I was doing my son a favor and I guess I ended up screwing it up for him. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the firmware has anything to do with that.

I don't really understand it looks like it's cracking? Can you post a picture or something?

Sounds like it has a damaged screen. The outside plastics may not have cracked, but the inside screen could have twisted or been warped somehow and have done what your talking about.

More than likely it will be a screen replacement. You can get them from eBay for something like 30 bucks.
PSP un-bricking and CFW install in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. PM me for details

Visit me at my blog - Cucucachoo.net. I have mostly sexy mobile phone and psp wallpapers here.

Well if it is a screen he needs, he'd do alot better buying a brand new Sharp LCD for the psp from Amazon.com 30 bucks and brand new and an exact replica of the one the psp has.

But i'm still doubtful it is the screen, unless the kid did it and didn't want to tell his dad he broke it.

I can show you a pic of the screen but im not sure how to post pics here. Can I pull the image right from my computer or do I have to have it hosted somewhere online?

Thats the actual screen, the part you touch on the outside is only a casing, somehow the screen (lcd) cracked..

You would need to replace it.

I have never done it, there are guides though..

    I wouldn't say it's a 8 out of 10 on a hard scale, but (I'm guessing) maybe a 3-5?

The screen itself is simple to replace. Its just the screws are hard to take out if you dont have the right screw driver.
If you search you'll never have to ask questions again! GOOGLE

..*SHouldve picked up the Phone..Couldve been sony :S*.

Sounds like a screen problem, if it bricked, the screen wouldn't even display.
But how'd it happen.. I think your son has a little explaining to do.
