when you get a psp get a warrty for it because it may not work when you buy it so a warrty cost about $20 bucks so get it and if you download some thing and it freezes take the battery out and it will restore it ok and if you update it and it does the same thing take out the battery still and if you get a new psp make sure every thing on it is not broken if it is call sony note they will not fix it if dont have a warrty and or fix it your way enjoy

and the advice your giving doesnt make sense

if you buy a psp, you get a 14 day return period and a factory 1 year warranty. best buy charges hundreds of dollars for any 2 ore more year warranty. and now with pandora batteries why would you need a warranty? Unless you're dumb enough to physically break it. thats why you need to buy a hard case.

I bricked my psp after about 6 months jus phoned sony sayin that it switched off while playing. they asked me if i was tryin to upgrade the FW i jus said "upgrade the ?What?" acted all innocent and got myself a shiny new psp the next day!!!!
