    Hi Guys,
I have been able to copy a UMD game from the PSP onto my MMS. OK I changed my USB Devise to read UMD so when I opened the USB up I saw the game which was in the PSP as UMD9960 copied this into a temp folder, went back into the USB devise and changed it back to MMS, PSP opened up and copied the game into the ISO folder. Took the UMD out of the player and fired up great the game is now on the stick and works fine.

Question : I notice that if I put another game in and go through the same process it shows up again as UMD9660 the same as the previous game and from this I can't copy over as I have 2 files with the same name. Do I need to convert these into another format so that they read different or what ? Any clues in what I should do to get a second game in. Timm

interesting... i never put games on my PSP like this i always create an iso or cso of the game on my computer after dumping it there and then put the game on the PSP...

why are you doing it this way?? why dont you create your image on the computer and then transfer it over?

    Hi,
I have tried various ways and failed every time, I have tried using the small file called "711umddump2" but got UNABLE TO READ GAME", so having one game in is a bonus. OK I have copied a game from the PSP and put into a temp folder on PC how do you go about in changing it to a ISO/CSO ? Any help will be appreciated. Timm

    yes it does thankyou...
ok please go to ou XMB menu and press select. from there go down to where is says USB device.. switch that from memory stick to say "UMD disc".. now exit and connect ur PSP to your computer... now you should see an iso file there to put on your computer.. chuck it on your computer and then you can put it in your iso folder...

if you want to compress an iso please use this

have you tried renaming the file?? is the file an iso??
if you load it on and the file is called UMD9660.iso then simply rename it to wateva the game name is .iso

then put it in your iso folder

OK, Now I have re-named the two folders to the games, now does it matter what format they are in ? they are both in a WINRAR format. Hold on just put the two games into the ISO folder, re-booted PSP and guess what ? both games in and playing with no UMD in. I think it was the re-naming that lost me. Well thank you very much for you help. Do you think the game works better on the stick or from the UMD ? Timm

thats a topic for debate... personally i believe they run better from the stick but some ppl believe they run better from the UMD disc..

if you want you can compress those games to make more room available on your stick.. however depending on wat the games are its not always a great idea as you can experience lag for example GTA will lag if in .cso format..

use that program i got you to download before if you want to compress your iso's for more room.. if you need any help in using that program please just ask.. but it is simple.. just click around! you wont break anything

    Hi,
I have only got three games I play when at work (nights) ops I should not have mentioned that sorry when I have a break. Need for Speed - Most Wanted, WipeOut - Pulse, and the good old classic Space Invaders Extreme. So that does me.Still leaves me 740MB on my 2 Gig stick. I will look into using that program later, but for know very happy. Once again thanks. Timm

yeh.. all good games and they do not take up much room... Wipeout is very well made... if you like classic games why dont you look at putting some emulators on your psp??

like GBA, nintendo, sega, super nes

haha well if you want me to walk you through it i will... but if you have no problem with memory then you wont need to worry about it for now...

are you gonna have a look at getting some emulators so you can play some old skool games while you are at work.. i mean on your break of course
