Normally I use the same as Herc, but when I'm in my office/bedroom I use my wireless G. Just when you set up your wireless router be sure to set the security on it.

So people can't hack into your private information, (CCs, Social Security #s). It can be done, my friend does it to steal internet from his neighbors.

Why wouldnt you set it up? I know I have used someone else's internet, and because of what I used it for I actually got their internet shut down.

I was downloading things like movies and such and most are copy written. Some, not all, ISP's have clauses in their contracts that if you download such things they will terminate your service.

Having a simple WEP key prevents other people to log on to your net and do this to you.

Man, I know, reeper, that is a load of crap. How dare network administrators secure their networks. I also hate how people lock the doors when they leave their houses so you can't walk in and take what you like. But seriously, try common sense. All those people using that awful WEP are doing so because they don't want people like you getting in.

They'd be better of switching to WPA though. WEP is pretty much useless these days if anyone nearby owns a laptop and a wifi dongle. WPA, on the other hand, is practically bulletproof as long as you use a strong passkey.

I would reccomend you get a router because trying to use a usb dongle thing can be really hard to set up and configure!

Make sure you chose the right security option when you set up on your PSP.

Check your router, and make sure it is setup correctly then. That is the only other thing I can think of.
