I just bought Forgetting Sarah Marshall on BRD (FUNNY movie!!) and it came with the "Digital Copy" in one of two different versions. I can either "Transfer for Windows Media Player" (.wmv format) or "Transfer for Apple iTunes".

My question is, if I wanted to put this on my PSP's memory stick, which copy would I use? I know that .mp4 format works on the PSP (I'm guessing that's what the iTunes version is?) but what about .wmv?

I don't want to download the wrong one and then not be able to use it on my PSP. Would be nice if I could use it on both my laptop AND my PSP.

Sooo, which version do I choose? Would both work? If so, which would be better?

    Thanks in advance!

Either way you'd have to use a PSP Video Converter to convert it.

Because it would not have the proper codec in with it.

Really? What about all that talk Sony was saying at CES about how just about all future release BRD movies will be able to be copied to a PSP using either a PS3 or the included "Digital Transfer for portable media players" that can be transferred via PC?

I remember reading some big article about that earlier in the year. I've searched and searched and, while I've found several links to the article talking about the ability, I haven't found anything about "how to" of which format works for the PSP.

What format does the iTunes version come in? It said the portable transfer is for iPhones/pods...don't they use .mp4?

Are there any GOOD and FREE programs that will convert media files into PSP format? What exactly is the format for the "PSP format"?

Yes I believe they use .mp4.

As far as what Sony says, then I may be wrong.

But I just stated personal experience.

Would that also apply to PSPs running CFW? Is there any reason an .mp4 wouldn't work when others do? I have some movies copied to .mp4 format and they worked just fine.

If I download in .mp4 format, that's also viewable on QT Pro; right? Would be nice if Sony just came out and said (since it IS on a BRD) that "for PSP copy, choose xxxxx".
