    Hi,

Ive got a few probs with my slim psp. Ive had it nearly a year now. anyways..

I dropped it (in a case) and now the screen has gone all funny, like when a TV cant get a good signal? Lines across the screen. Anyone know what this could be?

Also, My analog controller thing seems to have come loose? It hardly works and i can spin it all the way round. Is this an easy fix?

How much warranty do you get on a psp from new? and can i send my psp to sony to get fixed? Ive got CFW installed so how would i get round this. Can i just re-install the original firmware?

    Thanks for any help

Why dont you do it the ol' fashion way:

Buy a new LCD, replace it.

Buy a new analog, replace it.

You learn so much more from it.

    I was not being sarcastic.

Why be ignorant(uneducated) and send it away when you can learn how to do it yourself?

Uneducated, as in, you are passing up a good learning opportunity.

Call Sony on the number on your Warranty sticker under the battery, and ask them about sending it in.

As long as it doesn't have custom firmware, they won't care.

Sending it to sony is a stupid move. They have 'upgraded' others in the past to the new motherboard which cant be hacked. If thats what you want to risk go nuts. Its better to fix it yourself.

In pounds, I have no Idea.

But with a slim, you are looking at maybe 35$ USD from dealextreme.com

And I could guide you through it.. if you had a cam, or you lived locally.

And apparently you don't live locally.

So umm, best I can say is:

    Google: "Replacing psp LCD screen"

Yes £20 is around $35-40. Google it is, maybe i should of googled instead of coming here lol

At the moment the psp is still playable with the screen, so ill wait till it completly goes. Im most worried about the analog pad as i use that most. Can this be fixed easily do you know?
