I, myself had trouble with the damned PSP movies at first also....dont worry, but its extremely simple. First, if you're getting a movie off a DVD just get a DVD Ripper. DVD rippers are extremely easy to find...if you're still clueless, theres something called Google. OK, then visit pspupdates.com (links to pspupdates.qj.net) and grab the
3GP converter.Download winRAR (you can just google a download for it) and the 3GP converter file should be able to be opened .Then, just get the movie that u ripped (hopefully didnt turn to piracy) and have downloaded on ur computer and drag into the box where, on the 3GP converter, it says Drag and Drop Files Here. MAKE SURE IF U HAVENT DONE THIS ALREADY THAT U HAVE VISITED THE SETUP FILE THAT COMES WITH IT AND CHANGED IT TO PSP DIRECT, RENAMED. Then, the resulting file will be a MPEG-4 file that says M4Vxxxxx, where x is a random number from 1-9. Then, if u have a later version of the PSP u just make a USB connectino between the computer and the PSP and 2 files will be on the first page PSP and MP_ROOT. Go to MP_ROOT and click
100MNV01. MAKE SURE NOT TO PUT IN THE 10ANV01 FILE. A few minutes to download and boom! its there.
The error i was making the whole time that will show the file as a UNSUPPORTED DATA file is that
you're NOT SUPPOSED TO ADD .MP4 TO THE END, THE PSP WILL AUTOMATICALLY ADD THAT.
If your PSP does not ahve the files then in the folder with PSP (do not open it) create a file called
MP_ROOT. Open this file and create 100MNV01 and if u want to, 100ANV01. Just drag the file into the
100MNV01 file and it should come up. HAVE FUN!

DO NOT WORRY. I ALMOST SHOT SOMEONE TOO..IT IS OK!

I cant really agree there, I think PSP Video Express or WinAVI's PSP converter is the most user friendly...
