It will prolly be similar to the version.txt search. I doubt it will be huge.

That sucks. I use CFW to put my games I bought on my memory card so i don't have to carry around a million UMDs just in case I wanna switch games on the spur of the moment.

I wonder if you will still be able to dump the umd's or play the umd dumps.

If you actually read the article you'd see it says it checks your RAM.

Hopefully I can still dump it and upload it to my memory cards. Although if it reads the RAM might not help which is retarded. Not like I'm gonna dump it and upload it for people to pirate, heck no I bought the game lazy bums can get their own game.

Edit: Okay fine if Sony wants people to use OFW then they need to step up and put more PSone classics on PSN and allow people to download digital copies free of PSP games if they own the PSP game.

A lot of people on here say they have c/fw for homebrew and legal use of thier PSP. I would have thought gran turismo psp will have this check as it will be the biggest game sony have ever done on the system and they will want to make sure it sells legitimately. I of course want to buy this game as i want to encourage polyphony that the psp is a viable platform for gaming and if possible, more gran turismo.

If i got home and this game said "nope sorry, your on c/fw" then i like most people, would get a refund on the game and be tempted to obtain a cracked copy, just to spite sony.

I fully expect a hack due in 5.00 m33-7 etc.

Like most people do with thier games, I back them up to card for ease of use. Im currently dumping tiger woods 07, a game someone bought for me for £2 from a jumble sale (just the disc). Ive obtained a psp game with no money going to the publisher? is this a form of piracy then lol Anwyays, i played the game and id nearly fogotten how a disc whirs and chugs and spins. So annoying.

The only option at the moment for playing protected games would be to re install official f/w on my phat (as i use my slims 99% of the time)

But i dont want to. Because im stubborn and despise sonys evil meddling.

If Sony really wants to go that low then they need to pick up the pace. Your average PSP User with CFW can port a PSOn Classic game to his own PSP as long as he owns the game in a matter of moments and it takes Sony how long to make a real big PSOne classic like FF7 work on OFW?

They're obviously expecting people to reflash official firmware. Plenty of people will i'm sure, but plenty of others won't.

Whats that have to do with this topic?

Anyway this is gay. How about they just "leak" another game that turns out to corrupt ID storage at a certain time in the game.. One thats really waited for. LBP? Birth by Sleep? China Town Wars? PSP owners would flipppp.
