Hello. Recently I updated the firmware on my PSP, stupid I know.. But ever since the update I haven't been able to play music anymore. In stat it just gives me the message ''There are no track. You can import tracks from an PS3 system or PC. For more details see the instructions''. But I know there ARE tracks because I've been able to play them just fine before I updated the firmware.

But to be honest, I've had been having trouble with the memory card, such as not being able to save bookmark, and download directly to the PSP from the internet. But the music and video play always remained unaffected.

So now my question to you would be.. Does any of you know about the new firmware (v5.51 official) having trouble with playing MP3 music (or any other). Because I would really appreciate the help.

    Thank you in advance.

    EDIT:
I know what went wrong. It was the memory card that was to blame. I tried replacing my 1G card with the default 32MB card that came with it, and one that card it plays the music just fine. I guess it's time to just buy a new card. ;P

the only thing I could think of that could be wrong with it is that you put the music in a more than one folder under the "MUSIC" directory (like you put all your music in: ms0/MUSIC/folder/anotherfolder) the psp can't do that.

Oh I see.. But it has always been in the folders ''PSP/MUSIC''. But I see you have ms0 in your directory description. Is that the one you put it in? If so, I could try if it works that way.

Tried replacing card, and now it works fine. It's a small card though, but it will do until I get a new one. Thank you very much for the help though, I really appreciate it.

first of all ms0=the drive letter of your memory stick, sorry if I was unclear about that
second of all the "MUSIC" folder should be on the root of your memory stick....that's how it is on 5.50 anyways...
    so it should be: ms0:MUSIC/

i dunno much bout the ofw of 5.51 but i beleive it has subfolder so that shouldnt be a problem even if hes on cfw.i agree with mito.its prolly a fake stick.go to anywhere it says memory stick and press triangle and click information.if it says magicgate unsupported then its definitely fake if its a pro duo stick.fake cards do not always work 100 percent and are more likely to fry and stuff.check out my 2nd link in m y signature.those micro sdhc cards actually work better than a pro duo and so far theres been no calls on fakes for those.you can basically use any memcard from mp3 players/phones as long as you have the adapter.read the 2nd link for more info
