save game files corrupted have originals

After upgrading from 3.40oe-a to 5.00m33-6 my save files are corrupted. Before i did the upgrade i backed up my save files, and tried moving them back on to the memory stick but it still said they were corrupted.

Any ideas?

Sometimes save games are written differently for each firmware.

So there's no way to get it back, even though i have the original?

So why when i've read other threads for the same problem, people always say if you didn't backup the originals then you won't get them back. There must be a way if you have the save files from before the update.

Theoretically you could convert them but I've never seen it in practice.

Maybe try a lower starting cfw like 3.52m33 and loading and saving then 3.71m33 on up since you were coming from 3.40oe. I think I remember having to do something like this with some of my saves cause I tried all cfw from 3.71m33, 3.80m33, 3.90m33, 4.01m33. Mine never came up corrupted though. It sucks that you might have to use pandora and mms to try this but if you really want to get them working I personally would try it.

Went to 4.00, lost it all until I went back to 3.90.

There's no way to recover it, face facts.
