CWcheat doesn't work on other disks?

I was wondering why the cheat thing doesn't work on other disks.

It worked fine on my FF8 first disk, but when I went into the second disk..
All it is, are these weird black blotches..

Anyone know how to fix it?

I'm not sure if this is right, but the discs have different GAME IDs? To check, open CWCheat while running the first game and right down the string of numbers you see at the top. Do the same with disc 2, then compare. It could be that they require different sets of cheats, because they way CWCheat works is by changing values of strings loaded into memory when you play a game. The strings are called "addresses", and they could be different for each game.

yeah I've had to manually edit cwcheat GAMEIDs before, its actually very easy, copy the cheat.db change DB to .txt then open up in notepad search for you GAME TITLE and change the gameid, also if you're not seeing text then cwcheat isn't functioning right

Hey Geek, I think I understand what you mean.

Do I need to be running the game when I change it? And what do you mean by search for you game title?
