Today I just got a very strange problem with my PSP.
Whenever I tried to copy a large iso (> 1 GB), it gave me a I/O device error and the transfer stops.
There is no problem when transferring small files like musics and small cso's.
It never happened to me before because I played several large games before.
I tried everything, including formatting my ms (with PSP), disk checking, blowing the mspd slot and USB port. I even used different cord and USB port but still no luck. Oh yeah I don't have the adapter so I can't try it with a reader.

Please help me, I really ran out of ideas...

maybe theres a driver error with regonizing the psp, what i would try is when its pluged in, go to device manager and where it says "psp type B" right click and click "uninstall" when done unplug and replug see if that does anything (if it does not regonize you may need a restart)

    Thx for the quick reply.

I opened device manager but couldn't find anything said PSP type B.
There are 3 things that is related to the psp.
First, under the Disk Drives it says SONY "PSP" MS USB Device
Second, under Storage Volumes, there's Generic volume. When I opened the properties window, at the "Location" it also says SONY "PSP" MS USB Device.
Third, under Universal Serial Bus controllers, there is one that says USB Mass Storage Device, when I double click it says "PSP" Type A (also at the Location).

So, which one do I need to uninstall?

i would belive the ms usb one, since its a transfering problem, but to be safe you could uninstall all of them and they will all reinstall when you plug it in agian

Ok.... I think somehow I know what the problem was.
I did uninstall the drivers and replug the PSP after rebooted the computer and it didn't work. After that, I tried my PSP on my other laptop and it works!
I seems that I have a corrupted "Mass Storage Device" driver on that computer.
Any idea how to recover the default windows Mass Storage driver??
