i normally use psp video 9, but i keep getting an error lately.
PSP video 9 sucks, it's one of the worst converters I've ever used.

17 - recomended converter program? 17 - recomended converter program?

not sure if this has ben posted up, I found a great converter program. you can download it through bit torrent. winavi converter. it has psp, ipod, and mp4 on it. It has the option in mp4 to convert to the psps full resolution, as well as option for changing from 4:6 to 16:9 etc. the best thing I like about it is the videos convert in 20-22mins. considering my last converting program(format factory) took 1hr to 2 hours and up for large videos. I started my biggest video to convert with winavi and it was done fast. I like it alot. give it a try if you havnt found a good one yet.

Handbrake and DVDfab work great. The only problem with DVDfab is that its freeware for 30 days then you have to buy it if you want to continue using it.
