CXMB Themes And Flash0 Themes Guide!

I will give two versions of custom theme installation. These are very simple.


CXMB
This is for CTF files, which run from the memory stick. These go in the THEME folder. “X” represents the drive of your memory stick.
“X:/PSP/THEME/” is where your CTFs go.

To run these from the memory stick, you have to use a plugin, otherwise it tries to look for PTFs instead. Get It Here. Copy the files to the root of your MS (main directory) If you have multiple VSH plugins already, just add the line “ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx “ to the vsh.txt.

NOTE: Make sure the CTFs you are using are for the firmware you are running, otherwise, it just won’t work. Some are made for a certain firmware, but still won’t work. These need to be flashed.

Go to google and search for themes, I don't know one place that has all themes. They are just scattered all over the net.

Also: The link is for 5.00 m33-6. If you have 5.50 GEN or any other firmware, google it. I won't make a special trip just for you. This will work for other M33 firmwares. I believe. Haven’t really gone that far.

FLASH0
This will tell you how to flash these SAFETY to the flash0.
Now if there's a CTF and you want the file out of it to flash them, use an extractor. Get It Here
Or some people make themes and give a flash0 version of it, you can use that, just copy and paste it in the flash, but make sure you copy the right folder in the spot.

I recommend this as a base for a flash0 theme.
Large Original Icons Revived 5.00 m33.ONLY FOR 5.00 M33.

First, set your PSP USB mode to flash0, press Select while in the XMB, go to where it says "USB mode" or something like that. Change it to Flash0. Then connect you PSP via USB. Then flash the theme to your flash0 with the flash0 version provided, then just take random elements you like and put them where they go. These files will go into the folder flash0:/vsh/resource NOT THE FONTS, the fonts go in the folder flash0:/fonts

There will be some folders that match those that are in the flash0 (font, vsh, etc.) , copy and paste them to the root of the flash0.

Heres an examplethe white line is due to a fuck up with one of the files, I can’t remember which one it was.)


I used the base, and just changed a few things, (opining pic, opining sound, battery icon, font, gameboot, click sound, all that) almost all are compatible with all M33 and perhaps GEN. The opining pic, opining sound are the only ones that are compatible with cretin firmwares.

Again, make sure the files you are using are good for your firmware0
Other ways to get flash0 theme elements are from the use of psp wardrobe. This is a pack of a few XMB theme icons, fonts and all that good stuff, I have compiled one with extra files added to it. Get It Here. Think of this as a starter pack.
Be careful, I don't remember which one it is, but some of these won’t work on cretin firmwares. Do remember that.

you could if its set in the right way, if not you have to put them in correctly otherwise you get a "not enough space" that can cause a mishap.

ya well. once you extract it do make sure the file structures are good so you dont fuck up. then just copy-paste and reboot the psp

Make sure the files are being transferred over correctly and nothing happens, otherwise you got a simi-brick.(easily fixed) .......i didn't know semen bricks were easily fixed

there was a program used to inject icons into the right files. i forgot what it was called, you'd have to google it. i think GIF format pics.

i dont think rco editor works for higher firmwares, atlest the last time i tried.
