So I had offered to help a friend with his PSP he got for christmas, and before we could do anything, out of the box, it seems to be bricked?

I know we can return it for a new one, but is there anyway currently to reinstall the firmware of a PSP that is bricked and not modded in any way?

You can always try to use the Pandora and MMS, see if that works. If not, obviously you'd have to take it back. You'll know in about 20 mins if it's hosed or not.

If it the only thing that happens is when you turn it on the green light is on and no screen or sound, its bricked. Only way to fix it will be via Pandora And Mms, but i recommend taking it back.
