    when i insert the pandora battery and magic memory stick the screen does not turn on any help?

    I am trying to install custom flimware

    give details, what kind of psp do you have, what kind of mms and pandora, you bought them or you made them, hardmod or softmod??

    I have PSP-2000



    what kind of mms and pandora, you bought them or you made them,?

    Memory Stick Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo 4 GB
    Battery Sony 3.6v 1200MAh PSP-S000 (I made it to pandora by taking the 6th pin off) (Now when i insert it it gives me a green light)


    hardmod or softmod?? not sure what this is but i think hardmod

    did you check the motherboard of your psp to be sure its hackable with the pandora before doing it?

    I have just checked the box it has a A so i assume it is A = 3.71 and is hackable as it had before 3.71 m33 -2 than i changed it to 3.73 and today to 5.03 and wanted the custom firmware as before.

    then use Chickhen and recovery flasher its the easiest way to do it if your still in 5.03 youy dont even need the pandora and mms, look in the guide on this site youll find how or on google, and i suggest you install 5.00 m33 forget about 3.71 its outdated

    I did try the Chicken before but i did not manage to do it thats why i am trying the pandoria way. Could it be because of the memory stick is not original?

    maybe what kind is it? Why didnt work with chickhen its the easiest way?

    i have loaded the software and manage to update the PSP to 5.03 and also put the files for chicken in the memory stick but when i go to photo > Memory Stick > ChickHEN> And then it shows 5 files and loads the egg image and goes off and when i turn on nothing happens i have done this about 100 time still same thing.

    Any advice?

    when you open the chickhen file it is suppose to "sort of crash", then reboot by itself and be in chickhen mode, I done it a thousand times and it works. Be sure to format the mem stick you use to do it, then put the chickhen file in it and do it, it helps a lot

    Problem was my memory card as it was not orginal.

    Sorry for the Noob questions but I think this is the thread to post to. I just purchase a Pandora Kit. I have a PSP-2001. The Battery that came is a Pandora 3.6V 1800mAh and I charged it all night long and it will not power on to the green light as in the many videos I have seen. Its a fat battery because I can't put the battery cover on the PSP. The Memory Stick came with the files and a Read Me file as well. I tried following the Read Me and got through the first few steps Ok, then when accessing the files on the PSP the Custom installer won't load. Any help would be great. Thanks
