I never tried UMD Movies but I have played videos before. As a matter of fact, I have played videos that I took with my Go! Cam. You can play UMD games also

and wondering if i should buy the hdmi output cable for my lcd tv...
Does the cable ONLY work with umd movies? or can i play my own converted videos through the cable as well?
