I'm not sure of the specific version it has or hasn't been updated to, what would I need to hack it? Basically will I need a Pandora battery or anything of that sort?

your 1st question should be "is it hackable?" A: yes.

since it's hackable, you can use pandora with it.

you won't need a pandora however, if its firmware is less than 5.03. you can find info on both methods in my guide below.

depends on the uses, lol. if you're looking to run games off one, keep in mind a psp game averages 1gb, but that's a real ballpark since there's 500mb and 1.4gb games.

16gb (maximum size ever) MS's are serious expensive, 8gb, $40 would be a good price.

on the other hand you can get a Photofast cr-5400 adapter, which is a ms produo adapter that holds 2 sdmicro's, for sum total of 32gb, and sdmicro's are cheaper. the adapter costs 6 bucks.

A pandora's battery and MMS are used to install firmware to a PSP, irrespective of whatever is currently on (or sometimes not) it.
