2. Yes you can
3. Same as 2

Thanks to the forum posts, I was able to successfully upgrade my PSP 1000 from 3.52 m33-4 to 5.50 Gen-D3!Just a quick couple of questions:
1. Do I still need to leave my UMD in there or can I have it out permanently? I had to do this for the 3.52 m33-4 version to work properly.
2. Can I delete the recovery folders (the one that contains hellcat application)
3. Can I delete the 500.pbp and 550.pbp files since they are taking some space on my memory stick?

Cool thanks! Regarding question 1, does that mean I should leave the recovery folder in there so that I can still access the recovery option? (Holding R whilst starting my PSP).
Also, I am guessing that even with the latest Gen-D3 firmware on my PSP 1000, I still do not have access to WPA2 as a network connection option? My router is currently using WPA2 and I'd really hate to change that.
That recovery folder is not connected to recovery mode, so u can remove it.
And i don't think psp has acces to WPA2. But it would be best to leave at least that recovery folder and 5.00.pbp to your psp in case of brick. Its much easier to fix, if you leave them.
