try Rains mms maker, i have it in my 1st 2 guides and what to do...you shouldn't be able to go to recovery when the pandora is installed though, i'm checking that again right now myself.
ok, here's my conclusion and what might possibly be your errors:
1. no mms inserted, pandora will not boot into recovery holding R
2. mms inserted, pandora will boot into recovery holding R
so, if you used Rains, like mine is, ^^ this will happen, so remove the pandora and then hold L and reinsert the pandora battery...you may just be holding the wrong button when service booting with the pandora/mms
02-04-2010, 07:01 AM no matter what mms maker i use these two units boot to recovery menu i used mms in a 2000 it booted like it was supposed to but these phats just wont boot
02-04-2010, 10:37 AM so no matter what?? even if you just place the mms in and then insert the pandora, without holding any buttons, it goes into recovery mode???
if your answer is yes, why not try a few things here:
1. install hellcats recovery flasher into the "game" folder on the magic stick (i have the link in my sig)...also grab the 500.pbp file from me as well, you only want the "recovery" folder from hellcats...then place the 500.pbp file into the "recovery" folder
2. now, insert the mms and then the pandora battery...now when it goes into recovery mode (like you say it keeps doing to you) choose to run the recovery program from your memory card...2nd option i believe in the recovery menu setup.
then see what happens...if it goes to hellcats, choose to install the cfw of the above selected...which will be 5.00m33-6
