Psp 2k hack and MMS

Ok, I've asked about whether to buy a 1k or a 3k later, and
well, finally my friend came back from USA with 2 psp 2k, serial
starting with AB01 and OFW 3.90 ( how did he get this from Sony
store??? Aren't they old??? ) And it's hackeable so far..
So well, I didn't buy both I asked before, sorry...
But all you helped me a lot, and I learnt a lot about psp, since
I never had one, and I would just like one last n00b question...
I have here, from my old Sony Ericsson mobile 2 8gb pro duos.
I would hack it with one of them, using the MHUspeed, beacuse
I've been reading a lot, and it seems to work better with these
sizes. If I remember well was on the very helpfull Jubbabubba's thread
about chickhen hackable slims and 2ks.
So, after this fairy tale story, there goes my questions.
AHAM
Can I hack my psp with one of these pro duos, even without them being MMS?
I read on some posts I could, otehr just heading straight to hacking, and
other straight to making the MMS.
And after it's hacked, I can use both of the pro duos normally?

First, /epeen. M'kay now.

You only need a MMS + Pandora if the hackable 2k is beyond 5.03 Firmware.

Since they're 3.90, all you have to do is update to 5.03, use MHU or ChickHen, followed by Hellcat's Recovery Flasher to install 5.00m33-6 cfw.

Your friend may have bought them used, or possibly got lucky with 2 brand new hackable 2ks. xD

Once you have cfw installed, you can remove any file you added to the MS to hack it and use it as normal. You could also keep the files on and use it as normal (Aside from the picture folder depending on if you use MHU or ChickHen)

Yeah, for all I've been reading here this past week, he was really lucky to find one ( as he said ) on sony store. Well, it's a relief, I didn't want to bother with pandoras nor MMSs. And, so, completing, I can hack with one, and use both of them, without needing to hack one more time? Because some files seems to be in the MS.

Err I may be misunderstanding, but if you want cfw on both, you'll have to go through the process on both 2ks. Which files are in the MS o_O

So long as you keep both the battery and ac plugged in while updating and flashing / installing cfw, you shouldn't have to worry about any bricks. ^_^

ac adapter is for sissys. besides, if they are hackable, if they brick, you can unbrick. so you're worrying about something that you shouldn't worry about.
