Hi guys, I have been reading lots of posts on how to successfully hack a 3006. The 3006 I have has the TA-090 v2 mobo, and have managed to install/use the ChickHEN R2. The posts I have read don't make it clear what the custom firmware will allow me to do.

Also, when it says partially hacked, does that mean the crack resides in the memory, therefore not permanent?

I am sorry if these questions have been asked before, however thousands of messages read and still none the wiser
    Cheers

yes partial hack means you will lose the hack if you completely power off the psp. you can put it to standby and be alright. even if you power it off all you have to do is run chickHEN again and it is hacked again, temporarily of course

cfw allows you to run homebrew apps/games as well as playing your backed up games from your memory stick

You run the CFW through ChickHEN. In your case I believe the latest is GEN-C.

Unless Sedna has some special function that only works on Gen-A, it's the same as putting your psp into sleep mode, minus flicking the power switch to do so. I've tried it on Gen-C.

sedna to my knowledge just prevented a full shutdown, nothing special really.

Yeah, it just made it so even if you attempted to shut down or restart your PSP, it would go to sleep.
