Help me please. I really need to get rid of Custom Firmware quickly. My brother told my mum I had it and she's threatening to sell my PSP if I don't get rid of it immediately.

It is Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D (Full) and I neen a good way of getting it removed without bricking it. I've tried using a UMD to change it to Official Firmware and the system update but it says I have the latest version (9.50).

I have a PSP slim and I don't have a pandora battery, Is there anyway I can remove it without using a pandora battery?

    Thanks!

I would also like to know. I feel that CFW is lacking after Dark Alex left. I can't access the PSN(I know there's something in progress but it's still lacking), I can't access Remote Play, difficulty with running my PS1 backups. I'd rather just rebuy my PS1 games from PSN and have it working 100% and then use Remote Play to play it from my PS3.

turn on psp and hold r.this brings you to recovery mode.go to configuration and look for the network update option and disable it.get your psp turned back on,
wifi connection and go to system update in settings.it will find the latest in official firmware and install the files.once done go to your game section and run the new firmware update.itll change it back.your mom seriously no offense sounds like a female dog.seriously custom firmware does nothing but enhance a system and make it better.whats she afraid of?you getting arrested for it?you cannot get arrested for it unless your giving someone pirated games.its the fine loophole that states as long as you dont sell it you can do whatever you want to it,because you own it

Use Hellcat's Recovery Flasher to do it or just use a Pandora's Battery and MMS. ƒR()§†H@X, you can't do what you suggested because GEN firmware spoofs itself to be 9.90 so you can't accidently go to OFW.

If you install D3 on a fat, occasionally it will say D (full), but I've never seen my slim say D (full).

then after your mom is pacifyed, go back to CFW. Goku had a guide that will have you on OFW and let you "test drive" CFW.

The removal of 5.50 Gen X (X means any) .
    Just follow the steps:
1: Download CFW 5.50 Gen D3 link: Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3 Released - Download CFW 5.50 GEN-D3, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks
2: Extract it and there will be a file "550.PBP" and a folder "UPDATE"
3: Copy "550.PBP" to the root of your memory stick.
    4: Copy "UPDATE" to memstk:/PSP/GAME/
5: Plug in your PSP Charger
6: Now from your PSP select Gen D3 Installer.
7: after two or three steps it'll ask you what do you want to do
    > Install Gen D3
    > Install 5.50 OFW
8: Select second option and after some steps You will be back on OFW 5.50.
