Are you absolutely sure you put the EBOOT.PBP in a folder titled "UPDATE" in all caps in the Games folder?

I was trying to copy the 5.03 fw to the UPDATE file
but it says
"Error 0x8007045D: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error"

btw my PSP is the PSP slim 2003cw, checked the threads and i believe is hackable

I deleted the copyed 5.03 update in the update file,
tried to copy in it again happens to cant find file location...
the copy processed stoped and poped up couldnt find the detination file?!
than my "Removable device(PSP)" contants just went blank
ps. meanwhile I tried the 5.00 way, it won't let me copy the RECOVERY file in.
same problem as 5.03

Go to system settings>system information and tell me what firmware your on.
Try updating sequentially to 503.

cant figure out what was the link you gave me for...
and the official sony psp update needs WLAN which i dont have now
by the way... I still couldnt copy anything into my PSP
and thing coulf imporve that
and somehow i need to scan and fix everytime i connect O.o
