Updating Firmware from 6.10 to 6.31

Hi Guys,

I just bought new a psp 3000 with firmware 6.10 installed.

I want to install FF7 on my psp which requires 6.20 and higher to run it.

My psp is not hacked and I don't plan to.

I want to know if I upgrade the firmware what happens to my games (all bought and downloaded from psn store) and the game saves?

I don't have a physical copy ie UMD discs. All my games are downloaded.

Is it safe to update the firmware? I am backing up my data onto my PC as I type this. I just don't want to lose all the games/saves/settings etc.

umm you shit is unhackable past 5.03ofw so just update to the latest ofw all your stuff you downloaded from psn will still be there

I know I cannot "hack" the psp 3000.

I just wanted to make sure once I have updated the firmware my original games etc are still accessible.
