well, it can be hackable, but this is important, did it come with firmware 3.95 or 4.01? also, is it a limited edition such as a star wars or god of war psp?

bro you got a 50/50 shot on it bein hackable. Letter G is a TA-088 v1, v2, or v3 motherboard.any serial starting with HB, HC, HE or HJ should be hackable so your only option would be to get a pandora battery and magic memory stick and try if it brings up the cfw menu its hackable but if the green light comes on and black screen its unhackable

Hello! I'd like to know if this PSP is hackable as well. I found one on eBay for $200 and I'm poised to get it for myself for Xmas, but if it isn't hackable, then I may or may not get it, as I don't want to have to keep applying the ChickHEN exploit each time it loses power.

    Thanks,
    Shiggitay

...How did I hijack his thread? All I did was echo his concern for the hackability of the Japanese Mint Green PSP... I don't consider that hijacking... Also, what's "necro"?

meh, shut up both of you. The poster obviously isn't that experienced with forums, give him a break.

Shig, you won't get a valid response in this thread because it's OLD. It may only be a month old, but generally if a thread hasn't been posted in for over a week, it's dead and over with. Check the thread's last post date when you're using the search function bro. No hard feelings here.

Thanks. Since I was posting and lurking around here I obtained (it's in the mail) a PSP 2000 Piano Black that's already modded offa eBay. I later learned that the Japanese PSPs in that series are past hackable, and I was just excited that it could be possible, and that I almost bought a PSP brand new.

Oh, and for the record, I am experienced with forum-ing, but I did indeed neglect to check the date. I was doing research, and it was late at night. Thanks for your understanding.
