    i am using psp 1000 (phat) cfw 5.50 gen prome-2

    i was just curious what will happen if i try starting my psp using 'L' or any other button except 'R'. using normal battery and normal memory card.

    Nothing will happen with the other buttons.

    Yes and if you hold both the L and R buttons together while booting up it means "lock up your shit, ready to blow up" and 10 seconds later your PSP will explode.

    I heard that if you hold L and R on a japanese model, little dragons will fly out and eat your parents

    OP, you could have avoided all of this hilarity by searching the forums or just trying to hold L. There's nothing you could do to mess it up with buttons like this. Just don't go and mess around with your flash0 files or YOU DUN GOOFED and the consequences will never be the same.
